Senator Charles Schumer told the U.S. China Commission last week that he and other colleagues would push for a vote on China currency legislation (S.3134) "within the next two weeks." "No question, this is what is called a 'put up or shut up' moment for lawmakers," the New York Democrat said.

He blamed China's undervalued currency for millions of lost U.S. manufacturing jobs and thousands of closed facilities. �The Chinese will keep treating us like they have us on a yo-yo unless we make a serious push for our legislation,� said Schumer, who promised he and his allies would do so shortly.
